Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
Name: Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

Description: Beijing 2008 Mobile showcases up to 4 events from the Games; 100m sprint, Hammer, 200m freestyle swimming and Table Tennis - at least that is what the blurb says. The screenshots also show four events but unfortunately my lowly N81 (?) only had three events. Admittedly, we do receive the games direct from the publishers and we hope they have sent us a generic format that would work on any Nokia. If this is the quality on offer to the masses of mobile phone gamers out there, I’m not surprised that the industry is faltering. The graphics of the game we played took me back to the Spectrum with the Hammer being especially dire. The 100m sprint does have some decent running animation but it's more like The Clone Games with each runner being identical in creed, colour and race (hardly the diversity that The Olympics encourages). In fairness, the graphics from the screenshots do look a little better.
Ghost Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter
Name: Ghost Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter

Description:Ghost Recon 2 is the latest mobile game to use that same 'one man against 'em all' plot device. In this case, you're Captain Mitchell, boss of a US special forces 'ghost' unit, who has 72 hours to defeat a legion of Mexican rebels trying to overrun the US border and kill millions of civilians. (We think it may be revenge for Taco Bell.) The bulk of the game involves creeping about, hiding behind walls and shooting people until they die. Or, if you want to be a bit clever, hiding behind walls then lobbing grenades at people until they die. In other words, you can't do a Rambo and charge through levels blasting at will, because you'll soon get cut down in a hail of bullets.
Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest
Name: Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest

Description: Paris Hilton what a lady. With a TV show an album on the way not to mention her millions of dollars and THAT tape.. it would seem as if there's no stopping her. Will this game add to her millions or is it just another lame celebrity tie-in?
Apparently the first in a long line of Paris Hilton approved mobile games Paris Hilton's Diamond Quest takes the attractive blonde heiress's name and image and marries it with a solid and simple yet addictive puzzle game that dazzles with sharp and polished graphics that look nothing short of stunning.
The gameplay will probably already be familiar to scores of puzzleheads fans of Bejeweled and Puzzle Fighter will be right at home here. Gameloft have not gone with a new formula and instead stuck to the same type of game that is already so popular. Line up three or more diamonds of the same colour that's the aim of the game. Of course there are many different modes and game types but lining up the same colour of diamond is always the goal. It's fairly simple and quick to learn however there's many different combos and secrets that add to the fun the longer you play.
The gameplay is addictive and i mean very addictive. You'll find yourself playing this game on the bus on the train when you're meant to be working when you're meant to be sleeping. The system works so that there's always something more to aim for a higher score to achieve and it keeps you coming back for more. Paris herself often pops up too to offer some support and praise. One of the things that stops this from being another standard puzzle game is the number of modes. There's lots of varieties on the main game for example eliminating a number of specifically coloured gems before the time runs out or finding the letters PARIS in the puzzle. There's a lot to do and there's a lot of variety in the game which really impressed me especially when most puzzle games tend to get repetitive and mundane.
Asphalt Urban GT 2
Name: Asphalt Urban GT 2

Description:If you have been following the site closely, you would have realised by now that we’ve reviewed a lot of driving games. Among the most memorable are Crash N’ Burn, and 2Fast 2 Furious, which has been at the top of our “most read reviews ever” chart for as long as I can remember. However, Gameloft’s set to take the mobile racing scene by storm, with their sequel to an already classic game. The first thing you’ll notice about Asphalt Urban GT 2 is that it’s been drowned in licensing. Your usual driving escapades will now be accompanied by music by US artist Moby, as well as some appearances from pop group the pussycat dolls. Environment graphics have been improved, giving way for some basic 3D objects seen along the track- with a compatible phone, of course. Graphics of the cars themselves have been improved, but don’t expect to blown away by them. Most of the sound effects from the first game have not changed- you’ll be hearing police sirens, helicopters, cameras and crashes.
